Locating and Deleting the Preferences File
If you are having trouble with Final Cut Pro, one common troubleshooting technique
is to quit the application, delete the preferences file, and then relaunch. By default,
preferences are stored in the following location:
/Users/username/Library/Preferences/Final Cut Pro User Data/
Final Cut Pro N Preferences.fcset
where N is the version number of the application.
If you want to bring your preferences to another editing system, you can copy or send
this preferences file to the same location on the new system.
